    Very impressed

Posted by Eric on 10th Feb 2023

I bought some Magpul PMAG 30 AR/M4 GEN M3 for my Bushmaster and they would not seat without jamming them in with a hammer. These Thril mags seat well. These are all I will trust moving forward.

    My new favorite mag

Posted by David c on 29th Jan 2021

I purchased these for my AR type firearms. I've got all the major brand of mags and most of the others as well. This is now my favorite magazine. Fit and finish is great. Loading is super smooth and they function across the range of my firearms.

This is a very well built magazine! Top tier in the industry. This and Magpul would be the ONLY Poly Mags I would ever consider using!

    Gray PMX AR Mag

Posted by Kris on 14th Jul 2020

I got 3 Gray PMX AR mags and took them to the range last week. I was using them in a somewhat unconventional AR setup. Not that any of the following parts I’m using are bad components, but they each can introduce new behaviors and issues to those only familiar with the standard 16” AR with carbine or mid-length gas. The parts introducing the variable factors are a 20 inch Faxon fluted match-grade heavy barrel with rifle-length gas, V Seven A5 buffer, Faxon TiN lightweight BCG, Hiperfire Hipertouch Elite trigger, Superlative adjustable gas block, and Falkor Defense ambi Receiver set. If the magazines had failed in this rifle I would not have faulted you one bit and just tried them in another platform. However, I’m happy to report that the performance was utterly flawless. And as a bonus, the color matches that big company’s Stealth Gray furniture almost perfectly! That alone is a huge plus for me. Not only do these mags function like a quality mag, they look like quality mags, and they even feel like quality mags. You can tell a lot of attention to detail went into every square inch of them. The ridges on the front of and the nubs between them make the whole thing feel like It’s locked into your hand securely, yet it is all smooth enough to keep it from getting caught up on slings, carriers, belts, chest rigs, etc. The rubber on the bottom, which apparently they call an “Elastomeric Strike Plate”, is another detail that lets you know you’re holding quality. I’m sure these mags could have been made cheaper by just making it all polymer, but that rubber makes the mag more resistant to damage when being dropped and also helps to better stabilize the firearm if you’re using the mag as an improvised monopod to stabilize your shot. The fact that these mags worked so well is even more refreshing to me because of a recent experience a friend and I had with another company’s mags. I got a 15, 20, and 30 round mag for my 10mm Glock, a 17 and 30-round for my G17, and a 30-round for a HK VP9. My friend got a couple 30-round AR mags. The G17 mags worked, the G20 mags caused numerous malfunctions at first but seem to be getting better with use, and the VP9 mag is still malfunctioning. The AR mags on the other hand, well they wouldn’t even chamber a round when dropping the bolt, despite numerous attempts. When we finally chambered a round with a mil-spec mag and removed it to insert their AR mag, trying to give it every chance, it still wouldn’t chamber a round utilizing the gun’s own mechanical firing process. All this just made me appreciate the Thril mags that much more. I can’t wait to get my MPX mags and try them out, the gray is going to look amazing on that gun too!

I ordered 2 of these mags gray & black, and they are excellent quality right out of the box. Great fit in my AR, I'm excited to out some rounds through them
